Deep Ocean

Submitted By Lode Vanhove (Lode)

Description

I really love the 'Live Inspired' set of adium xtras, especially it's color scheme. But since I don't like the white look of the contact list (i prefer dark colors on my desktop) and I rather have my contacts in grouped view of...

...I created my own!

The desktop background is included together with the Live Inspired status icons!

Enjoy! :)

i can't seem to apply this contact list style. I download it and the Adium says that it is installed, but when I go into preferences to apply, Deep Ocean is not there. Thanx, this looks really nice.

I'm having the same problem when I install it.

To both of you:

I removed the theme and then installed it again using the 'Install' link. Everything worked fine. I don't know why you guys are having problems?

What if you tried the download link and then moved the files to the appropriate directory? (~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Contact List/)?

Let me know if it worked!

I already tried the download and moving option, but still it didn't work. I'm not sure why. It's in the correct directory with the other list themes and layouts, but somethings wrong. Once again, this looks to be an amazing theme.

Could it be because I am using the beta version of Adium?
What version do you have?

# by alexks3 on 10/28/06 at 12:16:06

I have version X 0.89.1. Would you recommend I get the beta and if so where would I get it? Thank you so much for your help.

# by Lode on 10/28/06 at 12:32:28

Well, I've been using the different beta's for a long time now and I don't think there's much risk in it. They are very stable. Maybe just backup your 'Application Support/Adium 2.0' directory so that you don't run the risk of losing your contacts and/or settings.

You can download the beta at the following address:

Let me know if it works after you installed it!

I installed it and it works perfectly. Thanks so much. Excellent Contact style, simple yet vibrant. 5 Ducks

Wow, REALLY COOL... It didnt work for me either at first, but i relaunched adium and it worked. What is the wallpaper on the picture? I really want it.

# by Lode on 10/29/06 at 09:18:04

The wallpaper is contained in the ZIP. So if you download it and extract it, you should see the wallpaper.

Hi, I installed this, and then switched to a different contact style to compare... and the selector-tool* which was normally blue became black. I can't get it back, or change it's color. Do you know how to do this? Thanks!

*Sorry, I don't know what it's called. Basically, when I selected the contact before, it would turn blue. Now it turns black, and I don't know how to change it back. Any thoughts? (therefy@gmail.com)

Never mind, got it. :)

# by encrypted on 02/03/07 at 20:13:10

out of curiosity, though, how *do* you change it?

# by Lode on 02/03/07 at 21:08:24

Go to the 'Appearance' section of the Adium Preferences.

Click the customize button next to the 'Color Theme' dropdown menu and there you will find a selection box next to 'Highlight' which lets you specify the highlight color.
