Actually there is a way to embed image data directly into a css file. That way you eleminate the need for seperate image files. This effectively enlarges the size of the CSS, but that is no problem for offline use like this in my opinion.

See this website:

You can upload an image at which point it will spit out data representing the image together with the MIME type. Just copy the whole load en put it in your CSS file where you normally put the URL that points to the image:
background-image: url();

Cheers :)

Go to the 'Appearance' section of the Adium Preferences.

Click the customize button next to the 'Color Theme' dropdown menu and there you will find a selection box next to 'Highlight' which lets you specify the highlight color.

What about grouping consecutive messages?
Now each message gets its own bubble... which is totally inefficient, and not compact at all.

The wallpaper is contained in the ZIP. So if you download it and extract it, you should see the wallpaper.

Well, I've been using the different beta's for a long time now and I don't think there's much risk in it. They are very stable. Maybe just backup your 'Application Support/Adium 2.0' directory so that you don't run the risk of losing your contacts and/or settings.

You can download the beta at the following address:

Let me know if it works after you installed it!
